Our Club

~~~~~
Accepting members starting April 5th of 2001, the Hallsville Optimists began their journey as the largest chartering club in the East Missouri District. With 67 chartering members, we made a big impression for such a small town organization.
Sponsored by the Downtown Optimist Club and with great support from the Ashland Optimist Club, as well as other area Optimist clubs, Hallsville quickly lived up to their community's reputation as the "Small Community with a Big Heart".
The Hearts of Hallsville came out in full force with their first fundraising activity of an Optimist Summer BBQ held at the Hallsville Community Fairgrounds. Funds raised were used to help purchase a new Crime Dog named Casper for the Boone County Sheriff's Department. This is just a start for an enthusiastic and optimistic group. Many successful activities have been conducted since then such as:
  • Events at Heritage Days
  • Hallsville Youth Football League sponsorship.
  • Hallsville Optimist Trap Shoots at Cedar Creek Rod & Gun Club and River Hills
  • Annual Haunted Shed
  • Collected Football Tickets for MU Tigers home games
  • Annual Casino Night
  • Sponsorship of the Imagination Library through Parents as Teachers.
And many more exciting events!
