About Us

Chartered on April 5th, 2001, the Hallsville Optimist Club began its journey as the largest chartering club in the East Missouri District. With a whopping 67 members, we made a big impression for such a small town organization.

Sponsored by the Downtown Optimist Club and with great support from the Ashland Optimist Club, and others, Hallsville quickly lived up to their community's reputation as the "Small Community with a Big Heart".

Now, over many years later, we are STILL ever present in our community. There is not much that the Hallsville Optimist Club hasn't been involved with, whether it is providing two $1,000 annual scholarships for High School Seniors, to sponsoring the Hallsville Youth Football Leagues and a Youth Cross-Country team, providing grilled Hot Dogs for the annual Back 2 School Bash, or the Hallsville Buddy Pack Supplement Program. The Hallsville Optimist Club is there for your child and mine. Come join us and make yourself at home!
